Rent Agreement For Rc Transfer
Once a used vehicle has been brought in, the new owner must apply to the local RTO for a change of ownership within 30 days of purchasing the vehicle. It can be noted here that the ownership transfer procedure may be different if the seller and buyer live in the jurisdiction of different OV. Pune, with its various educational institutions and a thriving IT sector, is a city that many migrants in other cities consider a home. But for those who visit the Regional Transportation Authority (RTO) to register newly purchased vehicles, there is an experience that may not make them feel as much at home. Vijendra Singh, an IT professional who moved from Patna to the city, bought a new quadricycle last month. While for most people, that would be a reason to rejoice, Singh encountered a stressful experience at the RTO, where he went to check in the vehicle. When I went to the RTO for the registration of my vehicle, they rejected my application because I did not have a lease registered in my name,” he said. It was what happened afterwards that Singh found it odd. “It was surprising when a whole approached me and did my job with the same documents, calculating 2,500 more.” Singh is one of many residents of the city who, after moving here, have trouble finding valid documents for proof of address. On average, about 13,500 two-wheelers and 4,949 four-wheel drive arrive each month on the streets of the city. That means 450 new two-wheelers and 165 quadricycles a day. And more than 85 per cent of them are owned by students and professionals. While Pune RTO accepts documents such as passports, Aadhaar cards and driver`s licenses, they are only valid if they carry an address in the city.
Applicants who do not have a Pune address on their documents can also present a registered rental contract. However, some of them are down again because they only have notarized leases (cost of about 500 UK) which are much cheaper than registered contracts (cost between 3,000-Rs 5,000). As a result, candidates for the outstation often turn to merchants who demand bribes to do their jobs, with documents they already own. Applicants are known to pay between 1,000 and 4,000 Ds to Touts if they do not have a registered agreement. Rishabh Shah, a professional in Delhi, believes that people should be informed of the documents needed for the RTO for vehicle registration, so that they do not have to resort to the commissioning of dealers. “After buying my two-wheeler, the merchant asked me to give him 3,000 Rs. more, because I only had a notarized contract. I had no choice but to draw on the extra money.
Something needs to be done to put an end to this practice,” he said. OfficialspeakBaba Shinde, a member of the Engine Transport Management Committee, explained the application for registered leases and said: “Given the terrorist threat, the government made leases registered in January last year a mandatory document for the registration of new vehicles or the application for a driver`s licence.” He continued: “Because of the it industry, a lot of people have come to Pune. If they are violating the rule by agents, that is a serious reason to be concerned. The rule was adopted for safety reasons, and the OTR should follow it to the letter. Regional Transportation Officer Jitendra Patil said he did not realize that officers were charging people extra to have their forms processed without the required documentation. I have not received any complaints from citizens about the imputation of excess money if they give notarized consent. I will look into it and tough measures will be taken against those involved in the fault,” he said. Mr. Patil added that the RTO only accepted applications with registered agreements as proof of residence and did not accept driver`s licenses or passports as proof of address if they carried addresses outside Pune.
